The Hiti 525 can easily be upgraded by the adittion of the Hiti Wireless dongle so it can do wireless printing. You can then print from a wifi connected PC, tablet or smartphone. If you have a Wifi enabled DSLR it can also be connected to the Wifi optional dongle, making printing directly from your camera a breeze.
Hiti includes the PrinBiz app which is downloadable for Android and Apple systems. Printbiz lets you take a picture and print directly from your phone, or browse to a folder on your phone for images. Prinbiz has some nifty image editing features, like borders, filters, photo and color adjustments. It even has some templates for image sizing and multiple prints per 6x4 templates.
The Hiti 525 uses Dye Sublimation printing, making it ideal for printing passport photos. Unlike inkjet / deskjet printers it does not create dots to make the image, which are unacceptable for passports.
Dye sublimation uses heat to diffuse the ink directly into a special layer of the paper which is then sealed off for protection against UV, fingerprints and water.
